Description
Tender, juicy baked chicken thighs with crispy skin and bold seasoning—an easy, flavorful dinner that’s hard to stop eating.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs, skin-on
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (or 1 tablespoon diced onion)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika for extra flavor)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
3. Generously coat each chicken thigh with the spice mixture, ensuring every piece is evenly covered.
4. Place the chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
5. Bake for 35–45 minutes until the skin is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
6. Let the chicken thighs rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, broil the thighs for the last 2–3 minutes, watching carefully so they do not burn.
A meat thermometer ensures the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
