This simple peach crumble is loaded with juicy peaches and topped with a buttery cinnamon crumble. Use fresh, frozen, or canned peaches!
Ingredients
- 3 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, cold and cubed
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
2. Place peeled and sliced peaches in a large mixing bowl.
3. Add lemon juice, granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the peaches and stir until well combined.
4. Transfer the peach mixture, including juices, into the prepared baking dish.
5. In a medium bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
6. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or food processor until crumbly with small clumps.
7. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the peaches.
8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
9. Serve warm.
Notes
To peel peaches easily, blanch briefly in boiling water then transfer to ice water; skins will slip off.
If using frozen peaches, thaw for 30 minutes and double the cornstarch to handle extra moisture.
If using canned peaches, choose light or no syrup, rinse well, and double the cornstarch.
