Description
A quick and flavorful grilled shrimp recipe featuring a zesty lime marinade, perfect for appetizers or summer gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce or sriracha
- 2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup freshly chopped cilantro
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together garlic, olive oil, lime juice, honey, soy sauce, and chili sauce. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade.
3. Add shrimp to the remaining marinade and toss to coat evenly.
4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and let it heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Thread shrimp onto skewers.
6. Grill shrimp, turning occasionally and brushing with reserved marinade before and after each turn, until pink and opaque, about 3 minutes per side.
7. Transfer shrimp to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
8. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
Perfect for summer cookouts or quick weeknight meals.
For extra flavor, add lime zest to the marinade.
Serve with a spicy dipping sauce or over rice for a complete meal.
