Description

Indulge in a restaurant-quality meal right in your own kitchen with this savory Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet. This one-pan wonder combines tender, pan-seared steak bites and crispy, golden baby potatoes drenched in a fragrant, herb-infused garlic butter sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights, this dish offers a sophisticated and comforting dining experience with minimal cleanup. It is a hearty, balanced meal that satisfies everyone at the table, blending ease of preparation with incredible, melt-in-your-mouth flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 lb baby potatoes, halved
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Place the quartered baby potatoes in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat and cook until fork-tender and golden brown, then remove from the pan.
Season the steak cubes generously with salt and pepper.
In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and sear the steak cubes until browned to your preferred level of doneness.
Reduce heat to medium, add the butter to the skillet, and stir in the minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
Return the potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together in the melted garlic herb butter for 2 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a heavy-duty cast-iron skillet for the best sear. You can substitute sirloin with tenderloin or ribeye for a more premium experience. Ensure the steak is patted dry before searing to achieve a golden-brown crust. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
